Details:	To grow a good quality plant requires, adequate temperature and humidity levels. Plants also require water, air, light and of course the mineral salts that are often dissolved in the water that they take up via their root system. For plants to grow well in a stress free environment similar to those present in a successful small indoor growing room or an outdoor hydroponic growing kit requires a competent management of these variables. There are a great number of hydroponic nutrients on the market these days but they mostly fall into four categories - they can be either liquids or powders, and these can be either single packs or twin packs. At Hydroshop Corporation Pty Ltd we have a stringent policy of testing all nutrients that our company endorses. If a nutrient is available on our product range you can be assured that it has met our quality testing standards and is suitable for the home hobbyist or the commercial grower. When using nutrients follow the guidelines included on the directions section of the label. Good quality directions on the labels are one of the criteria that we examine before we endorse a product. *Tips: for using nutrients:* Always ensure that you mix two part nutrients with a little water before adding to the main nutrient tank. Make small adjustments to your nutrient solution. Plants do not tolerate big fluctuations. Test for CF and pH regularly. Make final strength adjustments with a CF meter. This will ensure a stable foundation for your plant nutrient uptake. Don't mix too many nutrient additives to your tank. I suggest one or two additives as a guide. The main reason for this is that if additives are not compatible with your nutrient solution you may very well end up with a toxic soup that can harm either the end user of the product or the growing plant. *Care should be exercised when mixing additives to your tank. All staff at Hydroshop Corporation Pty Ltd are trained in the careful use of additives and can make appropriate suggestions for you.* Make sure your nutrient solution is not to hot or too cold and make sure is adequately oxygenated. Oxygenation can be as simple as an air pump with an air stone running in your tank. When using powders make sure they are thoroughly mixed and that you have followed the directions on the pack. Use good quality water to mix your nutrient be aware that river water, stream water, underground water may contain pathogens and dissolved salts that are detrimental to your plants. Discard your nutrient on a regular basis once every two to three weeks is ideal. Make sure your nutrient tank is kept clean and sterilized between crops. Ensure that the pump is cleaned and maintained on a regular basis. Test your solution regularly I would suggest, as a bare minimum, that you purchase testing equipment to monitor CF and pH.
